About me
Arani Kajenthira is a warm and charismatic leader who thinks systematically and deploys capital strategically. With expertise developing investment strategy, informing organizational design, and facilitating collaboration, Arani has built and guided high-performing teams, managed complex stakeholder relationships, and shaped governance structures to accelerate social change.
Arani was most recently Managing Director of Investing and a founding team member of a single-family office in Chicago, where she built and led the investing function. As a trusted advisor and through her current book project, Arani hopes to inspire wealth holders to engage in investing to build an economy that works better for more people.
A Rhodes Scholar, Arani holds a PhD in Earth Sciences & Engineering from the University of Oxford and has worked in academia, public policy, strategy consulting, philanthropy, and investing, including spending many years in the Walton family ecosystem.
Outside of work, Arani is a voracious reader, avid foodie, and loves spending time outdoors.
